AI Search Visibility Audit
Find out where you stand.
A fixed-scope audit establishing whether AI answer engines can find, parse and cite your business — with a baseline across a real prompt set and a prioritised list of what to fix.
A fixed-scope audit answering one question: can AI answer engines find, understand and cite your business? You get a measured baseline across a prompt set agreed with you, a list of what is blocking citation, and a prioritised plan — whether or not you then work with us.
Most businesses have no idea whether they appear in AI answers, because nobody has checked systematically. Asking ChatGPT once and seeing a competitor proves very little — answers vary by phrasing, by session and by week. A baseline needs a fixed prompt set, run across several engines, recorded.
What the audit covers
- Baseline measurement — 20–30 prompts a real buyer would type, run across ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and AI Overviews, with who gets named recorded verbatim.
- Entity consistency — whether your name, address, company number and services agree across your site, your structured data, Companies House, LinkedIn and the directories.
- Schema validation — what you emit, whether it is valid, and whether it contradicts the page.
- Crawler access — whether the AI crawlers are permitted, and whether your content is reachable without JavaScript.
- Content assessment — whether pages are structured so an answer can be extracted.
- Corroboration — where you appear in third-party sources engines lean on, and where you are missing.
What you get
A written report with the baseline, the findings and a prioritised list of fixes ordered by impact against effort — specific enough for your own developer to implement. The prompt set is yours to re-run, so you can measure progress whoever does the work.
Frequently asked questions
How much does it cost?
It is scoped to the size of the site and quoted as a fixed price before it starts, so there is no open-ended bill. Ask for a quote and you will get a number, not a bracket.
Do we have to work with you afterwards?
No. The report is written to be implemented by anyone, including your in-house team. We would rather you had the diagnosis than felt committed by it.
How long does it take?
Usually one to two weeks, most of which is the baseline measurement and the entity reconciliation across external sources.
Is this different from an SEO audit?
It overlaps on technical foundations but asks a different question. An SEO audit asks why you do not rank; this asks why you are not cited — which depends more on entity consistency, extractable structure and third-party corroboration than on the ranking factors a standard audit measures.
How the engagement runs
- Scoping call, then discovery. We establish what you actually need before quoting. You approve scope before we write a line of code.
- Fixed price or capped time and materials. Tightly specified work suits a fixed price; genuinely new work suits a capped retainer. We recommend one rather than offering both and letting you guess.
- Weekly demos. You see working software every week, so nothing surprising turns up at the end.
- You own everything. Repositories, infrastructure and documentation transfer to you on payment. No vendor lock-in, no licensing you do not control.
- NDA as standard, usually before the first detailed call. We will often send one ourselves if you do not.
If you are planning work of this kind and want a straight assessment of scope, timeline and cost, tell us what you are building. We work with clients across the UK, EU and US.
